Dear District 10 Zontians,
Your District 10 Nominating Committee is tasked with providing a slate of officers and directors for election in 2025 to serve in the 2026–2028 Biennium. The election will occur at the Zonta District 10 Conference in Seguin, Texas, October 16–18, 2025.
What better way to build your Zonta confidence than stepping up to leadership as a District Officer? We hope many members are interested. Two attached documents (District Manual and Bylaws) detail the prerequisites, duties and responsibilities of each role.
1. The District Board meets at least twice yearly per the Bylaws — historically three times a year, with the winter meeting now held via Zoom. Travel expenses are reimbursed.
2. Voting members of the board are the Governor, Lt. Governor, Treasurer and three Area Directors. The Governor appoints a Secretary, Parliamentarian and Committee Chairs.
3. Each elected District Officer must be a club member, having served at least two years in elected club office and/or as a District Committee Chair. Governor, Lt. Governor and Area Directors must have served at least one year as Club President.
4. A three-member Nominating Committee is elected at the District Conference for a two-year term beginning at the close of ZI Convention 2024.
Submit nominations by a club (not the nominee) to District 10 Nominating Committee Chair Connie Davis (conniedaviszonta@gmail.com) by June 15, 2025.
